Rent a Room at Rock Springs Nature Center

Rock Springs Nature Center offers room rentals for meetings, parties, conferences, and group gatherings. Your rental can include: set-up, audio-visual equipment, tables, chairs, and use of kitchen facilities.

The Nature Center also includes exhibits, art galleries, and staff available to provide educational programs. See the Educator’s Guide for program opportunities.

Greenberg Auditorium

The Greenberg Auditorium at Rock Springs Nature Center is a perfect room to host a conference or business meeting, celebrate your parties, group gatherings or wedding reception. 28’ X 50’ room, carpeted, ADA accessible.

Tables and chairs will be set up per design, adjustments to the layout can be made, by you, before your event. Renter will be responsible for any decorations, tablecloths, dishes and food being used. This is an all-day rental, (all-day being our hours of operation on that day). Hours outside of the times the Nature Center is open, may be added to your reservation at a per hour charge, you will need to call the office to make arrangements. Please make sure to read all rules and regulations regarding the use of this room.

East Conference Room

The East Conference Room is a wonderful place for small gatherings with a “windowed wall” that looks out onto our EcoCenter. Groups up to 25 will fit nicely into this room. Consider it for your next business meeting, bridal or baby shower, or birthday party. 22’ X 26’ room, carpeted, ADA accessible.

Washburn Classroom

This small, sunny meeting room holds up to 20 people. Good for a business meeting or as a bride or groom’s dressing room for a Rock Spring’s rustic wedding. 20′ X 24′ room, carpeted, ADA accessible.

Room Reservation Rules

Rooms are booked for one entire day at a time. A “day” being the hours of operation of Rock Springs Nature Center for that day. Please check the Nature Center’s hours of operation for the day you are making your plans for. All room reservations must be made at least one week in advance.

  1. Smoking and all alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the premises. No red beverages or red jello.
  2. All activities must be confined to the room rented.
  3. Children must be supervised at all times.
  4. The person signing the agreement is the responsible party in charge of the group’s compliance with the rules and clean-up.
  5. Trash cans are provided for your use.
  6. Food and drink must stay in the area of the room rented only.
  7. Kitchen use (shared area) : 2 staff refrigerators with limited space. Cannot use MCCD’s dishes. Must clean kitchen after use.
  8. When decorating; uses of glitter, confetti, staples, nails, push pins or thumb tacks is NOT allowed.
    Please use only “blue painters tape” for hanging any items.
  9. Music: Events which will require sound amplification must be submitted for approval.
    Any device which emits a noise which is disturbing to the reasonable quiet of other persons nearby. Please remember that, we promote a “family environment”, please choose music accordingly.
  10. Adequate parking is provided at all conservation areas for the capacity of facilities at each location. Be sure your guests know where the designated parking areas are located. No parking along roadways or grassy areas.
  11. Person signing the agreement must be at least 21 years old.
