Rent a Pavilion at Macon County Conservation District

Pavilions are available for rent from May 1 through October 31, beginning January 1 each year. On the day of your reservation, you will have the pavilion from 8am to sunset. Grills for cooking and trash cans are available at each pavilion.

Fort Daniel Pavilion

This octagon pavilion is located next to an open field waiting for a game of football or volleyball. A playground, pit toilets, two grills, and a fire ring sit near the pavilion. Fort Daniel is 370 acres, with 5 walking trails.

Small Pavilion at Friends Creek Conservation Area

The smaller of the two pavilions at Friends Creek sits next to a playground and open lawns. Close to Friends Creek Campground and Bethel School House. Friends Creek is over 600 acres, with 3.5 miles of trails

Large Pavilion at Friends Creek Conservation Area

The large pavilion at Friends Creek accommodates up to 112 people and has a beautiful wood-burning fireplace. Close to Friends Creek Campground and Bethel School House. Friends Creek is over 600 acres, with 3.5 miles of trails.

Large Pavilion at Griswold Conservation Area

This is large pavilion with a wood-burning fireplace, kitchenette, and flush toilets at Griswold Conservation Area in Blue Mound, IL. A playground sits nearby, and the glacial kame hill boasts a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.

Woods Pavilion at Rock Springs Conservation Area

This pavilion is nestled alongside the woods at Rock Springs. A playground, fire ring, and flush toilet restrooms are nearby. Within walking distance to Rock Springs Nature Center, historic Homestead Prairie Farm, and Cattail Pond. Rock Springs is 1300 acres, with 9 miles of walking trails, including the paved Rock Springs-Fairview Bike Trail.

This pavilion overlooks the Cattail Pond at Rock Springs. A playground, fire ring, and flush toilet restrooms are nearby. Pavilion Reservations Rules

  1. Reservation fee will not be refunded due to inclement weather.
  2. All pavilions in all District Areas may be reserved with the exception of Griswold Conservation Areas small shelter and the Information Shelter at Rock Springs. These pavilions are used any time during the areas open hours on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cost of each pavilion is $35.00, (Small pavilion at Friends Creek is $30.00).
  3.  Inflatable play apparatus (example Bounce House & Outdoor blowup Pool) is not permitted in Conservation Areas.
  4.  No water balloons (pieces are a danger to wildlife).
  5.  Alcohol is not permitted in Conservation Areas.
  6.  The gates at all Conservation Areas close at sunset, these are auto gate so please that all guests have left the before sunset.
  7.  Place all food waste in trash cans. Do not throw food into lawn area or woods. This can be harmful to wildlife.
  8.  Firewood can be added to your reservation. Bundles are $5.00 each, consisting of 10 to 12 pieces of wood per bundle.
  9.  Be sure any fires are completely out.
  10.  Picnic tables cannot be move by guests. If items are moved, and damages are made you will be billed for the materials and the time it takes the repair the pavilion to its original appearance.
