Secretary/Receptionist

The secretary/receptionist provides general office support with a variety of clerical, secretarial, and administrative activities. The receptionist is responsible for greeting customers, answering telephones, requisitioning supplies, registering customers for programs, data processing and record-keeping.

Hours: 25 hours/week

Qualifications: High school education or GED with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, and bookkeeping, and two years of increasingly responsible related experience. Ability to make accurate arithmetic computations. Demonstrated skill in Outlook, word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office 7). Ability to communicate with the public in a friendly, helpful manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.

Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for all marketing and promotional activities for the Macon County Conservation District and the Macon County Conservation Foundation. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Marketing Specialist creates and implements a comprehensive marketing strategy to expand awareness of the conservation district and its foundation and programs. This position manages all components of the marketing plan including: print media; the conservation districts newsletters, brochures, press releases; website; media interviews; and social media.

Hours: Full time.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Successful experience in managing and tracking multiple projects. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in the use of computers.
