Year 'Round Tours & Programs for Educators & Teachers

There is a minimum fee of $10.00 for each tour or program. One adult, including the teacher, for each 10 students will be admitted free of charge. Chaperones are discouraged from bringing younger children.

Fees for the following programs are as follows, except where indicated:
Macon County Schools $1.50 per student
Non-school youth groups and Out of County Schools $2.00 per student

Birds of a Feather
Have fun on this interactive field trip. Take a bird nest quiz, do a beak adaptation activity and/or use our binoculars on a bird hike.

Homestead Prairie Farm Tour
Living history tour of an 1860s farmhouse and dooryard.
Who: 3rd through college
Time: 30 min. – 1 hour

This program covers Illinois from Paleo to historic Native Americans followed by a one-hour, hands-on archaeology lab simulation. Limited to 30 students.
