Annual Astronomy Jamboree

photo of boy and girl looking through a telescopeJoin us at Friends Creek Conservation Area for an evening of family fun exploring the night sky. 2012 will mark the 28th year for the Astronomy Jamboree!

Observe the big dipper, north star, and leo the lion through telescopes. What are some stars you will see? View a constellation map for the fall season.

Enjoy door prizes, refreshments, crafts and a campfire with marshmallows.

Telescopes will be available for viewing.

Call (217) 423-7708 to reserve your craft supplies.

Public are invited to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy at the park before the event that starts at 7pm .
